On May 24, Shenzhen hosted the Greater Bay Area Fintech Development Summit alongside the 7th Hong Kong Top 100 Awards Ceremony. Leaders from government, academia, and finance discussed mechanisms, technologies, and services driving Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao fintech integration, and witnessed the release of the 2018 Top 100 list.

Notable attendees included Ms. Lau Yuk‑yee, Dr. Hu Zhanghong, Mr. Shi Qing, Dr. Sun Xing, Dr. Wang Lizong, Mr. Tan Yaozong, Dr. Xiao Geng, Dr. Xu Yan, and Mr. Chi Tenghui.

In opening remarks, Ms. Lau said future Hong Kong Top 100 Awards Ceremony rankings will align with the Greater Bay Area strategy to deepen connectivity between mainland and Hong Kong capital markets. She announced an objective “Hong Kong Stock Market Open Interaction Platform” to link cross‑border information and data, supporting transparency and financial innovation across the Greater Bay Area.
