The Hong Kong Museum of Art (HKMoA), managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, was established in 1962 and relocated from City Hall to its purpose-built venue beside the Hong Kong Cultural Centre in 1991.
Dedicated to preserving China’s cultural heritage and promoting art with a local focus, the museum houses over 16,000 works, including Chinese paintings, calligraphy, antiques, historical artworks, and pieces by notable Hong Kong artists.
Through its diverse exhibitions and innovative programming, HKMoA bridges tradition and modernity, fostering a deeper appreciation of both Chinese and contemporary art. With state-of-the-art facilities and a passion for cultural exchange, it remains a premier destination for art, learning, and inspiration.
