The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) established the Department of Extramural Studies (CUSCS) in 1965 to provide educational opportunities beyond the traditional campus environment. In 2006, the Commercial Design Graduate Exhibition of the School became an annual event that is eagerly anticipated by students, family members, design professionals, and the wider art and design community in Hong Kong.

The theme of the 2008 Exhibition was “We Love WKCD,” through which the graduates eloquently expressed their expectations and aspirations for the West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD) development. The 2008 Exhibition showcased the work of 85 graduates from the Higher Diploma Programme in Commercial Design, highlighting the efforts and achievements of these young, creative minds.
